Dear Parents:  

Hurricane Irene

We are grateful that Hurricane Irene did not hit us with full Category 1 power, but know that most all of us have had some damage from the storm. We want to thank all of you for working through this difficult week and for supporting your providers.  “Irene” and our earthquake on August 23rd have been good reminders for us to update our Emergency Preparation Plans and to restock our emergency supplies of water, batteries, and other essential basics. If you are new to your family child care home, check how to reach your provider in an emergency, and where to meet her and the children if she ever has to evacuate her home. As we have seen, this kind of planning ahead helps everyone feel safe and secure.  

Monday, September 5th is Labor Day. All Monday Morning, Inc. homes and offices are closed for the holiday. Whether you will be cleaning out the basement or picnicking with friends and relatives, we hope you will be able to enjoy the long weekend!
